Swamiji Background
Pujya Yati Chakravarty Awahan Peethadhishwar Maha Mandleshwar Acharya Shri 108 Swami Shivendra Puriji Maharaj, is from a Brahmin family. Swamiji was born in 1933in the vicinity of Varanasi.
As part of this formal education he attained many prestigious college degrees, namely: M.A. (Banaras Hindu University); M.A. Hindi (Merut university); L.L.B. (Delhi University); Sahitya Ratan (Hindi Allahbad); Shastry Sanskrit (Varanasi Sanskrit University) and many more.
Swamiji has travelled many parts of India and has met many great enlightened saints. Swamiji surrendered to his Guru a great personality and an enlightened saint late Gurudev Shri 108 Swami Omkaranand Puriji Maharaj.
Swamiji is mainly based close to Mumbay, in Ulashnagar at Shri Omkaranand Ashram. Swamiji has other ashrams in Kashipur, Kampur Deolali (Nasik) and Haridwar and Canada.
Swamiji is a devoted sanyasi and has an ambition on life to promote Hindu religion, culture and moralization.
